OVDF – Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellowship The Indian Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) has opened up opportunities for enhancing mobility of Indian research students at the PhD level. The Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellowship (OVDF) Scheme was designed with a primary objective to offer opportunities for PhD students admitted to Indian institutions to gain exposure and training at overseas universities / institutions of repute and in areas of importance to country for period of up to 12 months (extendable up to a maximum of six months on case-by-case basis, based on performance evaluation) during their doctoral research.
Purdue Undergraduate Research Experience (PURE) is one of the marquee programs of the Purdue-India Initiative. This nine-week summer program in partnership with three Indian Institutes of Technology: IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, and IIT Hyderabad will take place from May 14 - July 13, 2018. Through the program,top third-year students in BTech or dual-degree programs are matched with Purdue faculty to work on summer research projects. PURE was created in 2016 as a mechanism to raise interest in Purdue graduate programs among high-caliber students from IITs and foster collaborations in research and education by strengthening institutional partnerships—including department-to-department and research group-to-research group activities—while providing substantive research experience to top Indian undergraduates.
